Red Bull Air Race Putrajaya 2014 World Championship Qualifying Day, March 17, 2014

17 & 18 May 2014, Putrajaya Lake (Precinct 4-6)

For the first time ever, Malaysia will be hosting Southeast Asia’s most thrilling motor sports competition in the sky - The Red Bull Air Race World Championship. Catch the world’s best pilots battling in the air using the fastest, most agile and lightweight racing planes navigating 82-feet high pylons at breakneck speeds.

The pilots compete for points at each Red Bull Air Race and the one who accumulates the most at the end of the season is crowned Red Bull Air Race World Champion. This coming air race is slated to be one of the most anticipated in recent times, after a 3-year hiatus that will witness skilled veterans and young upstarts going head-to-head for the coveted world championship. Great Day @ Sarawak Cultural Village

Tucked away at the foothills of legendary Mount Santubong, 35 km from Kuching is Sarawak's fascinating cultural showcase, the award winning "Sarawak Cultural Village" which is also the venue for the World Harvest Festival and the Rainforest World Music Festival, an internationally renowned festival.

This living museum is wholly owned by the Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) depicts the heritage of the major racial groups in Sarawak and conveniently portrays their respective lifestyle amidst 14 acres of tropical vegetation.

Here, it is possible to see Sarawak's ethnic diversity at a glance. The handicraft is both bewildering and tempting, including the Kain Songket (Malay cloth with gold inlay), Pua Kumbu (Iban housewives textiles), Melanau Terendak (sunhat), Bidayuh tambok (basket), Iban parang (swords), Orang Ulu wood carving and Chinese ceramics.

The 45-minute cultural performance of songs, dances and entertainment is something you will not want to miss during your visit to Sarawak.

CD Motel Review, Map & Contact Number, Pantai Cenang , Langkawi

CD Motel Review, Map & Contact Number, Pantai Cenang , Langkawi.

CD Motel is one of the best motels that I have stayed in Langkawi Island, others are quite stuffy and hot but this motel the room is just spacious and comfortable.

Booked triple room for RM 92, even tough it much more expensive compared to Rumours Guest House and Zackry Guest House but the room is certainly much more comfortable.

You can get the best price for CD Motel at here : http://www.carihotel.net/Hotel/CD_Motel.htm .

The motel is just nearby to Underwater World, about 2 minutes only. In addition Pantai Tengah and Pantai Cenang is just nearby.  Pantai Cenang is much more safer compared to Pantai Tengah.  You can go for Para sailing and Jet-skiing at Pantai Cenang. They have a restaurant nearby the motel. Plus, there are many more nice restaurant around the area.

To get to the motel from Langkawi International Airport, you can take a taxi at the airport for RM 18. Go to the airport taxi counter to get a taxi. From the motel getting back, the taxi price is RM 18, sometimes they will ask for RM 20.

To move around in Langkawi it is much cheaper to rent a car or motorbike. You can rent a car or motorbike at T-Shoppe at Pantai Cenang. The price for motorbike is RM 33 , plus RM 4 for insurance. You need to pay RM 100 as deposit for the bike.

Overall, CD Motel is value for money.

Hotel Name: CD Motel

Rumours Guesthouse Review & Map, Pantai Cenang Langkawi Island

It quite difficult to locate Rumours Guesthouse and the taxi driver himself is not sure how to find the guest house. After asking few people than only found out the location of the guest house. It is near by to Langkawi Underwater World and the road to the guest house in front of The Cabin.
Rented a standard room for RM 60 per day. The room is quite hot and stuffy in morning and afternoon. To escape from the heat, the guest house got a veranda where you could watch TV or read your novel. The staff is friendly and helpful.
From the guest house, it only takes less than 5 minutes to Langkawi’s famous beach, Pantai Cenang. The sand is white and the water is crystal clear. You could also enjoy water sports such as jet skiing or parasailing at the beach.
In addition, around the area there are a lot of tourist operators offering types of sighting seeing activities in Langkawi. Moreover, there a lot of good restaurants, offering Mexican, Malay, Chinese and Indian cuisine.
Overall  Rumours Guesthouse location is very strategic, but the only drawback is that the room is stuffy and hot.
