Workshops, contests, exhibitions and various classes on floral related topics will be held during this floral festival. Indonesian Food, Handicraft & Cultural Festival 2010, Queensbay Mall

This Sunday, come immerse and experience true Indonesian at the Indonesian Food, Handicraft & Cultural Festival 2010 organised by the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia (Penang), together with the Penang State Government at the Queensbay Mall Open Carpark all day from 11am till 11pm. This festival includes a bazaar of all things Indonesian, such as handmade traditional items as well as deliciously fragrant and popular Indonesian delicacies, cultural performances and also a lucky draw.
Besides that, stay on for the festival later in the day to experience traditional Indonesian culture and performances such as the Kibar Persada Dance, Merak Sunda Dance, Asmaradhana Dance, Gandrung Bali Dance, Renggong Manis Dance, Angklung Performance and more!

Pesta Pulau Pinang

It's that time of the year again when Penang is all abuzz with fun-filled exciting activities! The annual carnival in Penang known as 'Pesta Pulau Pinang' is back again,and begins from 1st December 2010 all the way into the new year on 2nd January 2011. Organised by the Penang State Government, this carnival is carried out daily from 6pm till 11.30pm. With its tagline, 'Jom Pi Penang', this carnival features many specialties in the trade industry, culture, tourism and festivites!
Highlights of the month-long Pesta Pulau Pinang includes FREE performances by specially invited Acheh Cultural Group who will be performing on 2nd and 3rd December 2010 and the Hangzhou Acrobatic Troupe who will be performing from 9th till 13th November 2010 from 8pm till 10pm. Other than that, the carnival consists of its usual attractions and events such as Snake Lady, National Boxing Competition and Muay Thai, a Boria Competition, and a newly introduced PlayStation 3 Tournament alongside other performances of multi-cultural dances and local artistes.
