The biggest sporting event in Malaysia is BACK! 

Gear up for the Penang Bridge International Marathon 2010 on 21st November 2010 with thousands of other Penangites and runners who will throng across the Penang Bridge in the wee hours of the morning. 


Organised by the State Tourism Development and Culture for the third time around, this year sees a more exciting, fun-filled and better improved run with esteemed partners and sponsors.

Runners in Half Marathon categories who complete the run within the prescribed time will be awarded a Finisher Medal.

Baggage Deposit Facility:
Baggage deposit and handling facility will be available.

2010 Blogfest.asia to be held in Penang, Malaysia

2010 Blogfest.asia to be held in Penang, one of the best tourism place in southeast asia – Unesco Heritage Site.


Blogfest.asia is a festival for bloggers in Asia. This is the region’s 2nd cross-border gathering for blogger community.


Everyone is welcome to join the festival and meet hundreds of bloggers from the neighborhood community. Participants can learn to blog from fellow successful blogger about blogging, what else do you expect :)


The 3-day Blogfest.Asia ’2010 event program at-a-glance will consist of:


  • One evening gathering / welcome dinner exclusively for participating bloggers (1st Oct evening)
  • Half-day conference (2nd Oct)
  • 2010 Mybloggercon award (2nd Oct evening)
  • Workshops and group discussion (2nd Oct and 3rd Oct)
Blogfest.asia will support and work closely with associated blogger community and events in the region. 


It will also serve as an ideal hub, community exchange point, and action camp for bloggers in Asia to make technological and social impact for the benefit of the region.

1st Penang International Kids Storytelling Festival on Sept 18, Youth Park, 10 am - 6 pm

For the 1st time in Malaysia, some of the world’s best storytellers from US, UK, Japan, India, Singapore, Thailand, South Korea, Australia and Malaysia will come together for one day in Penang to tell their stories to children.

This is a very rare opportunity indeed for families to enjoy and learn, and at the same time be mesmerized by the stories that will be told by professional storytellers from around the globe who specialise in telling stories to children.

The event will be held at Youth Park, (Taman Perbandaran) Penang on September 18, 2010.

TARGET GROUPS
Preschool and Primary school children (from 4 to 12 years old) and their families . There will be special sessions dedicated to storytelling to younger children (below 5 years old ) and children with special needs.

LANGUAGES
The storytelling will be mainly in English, with some storytellers telling in Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin,Tamil and other languages as well.

STORYTELLING BY KIDS
Although this event is not about storytelling by kids and neither is it a competition, nevertheless there will be platforms provided for children to tell their stories as well. Please check with your child’s school to register.
