Celebrated in the eighth month of the Chinese Lunar calendar, the Lantern Festival is a delightful event for visitors of all ages.


Dating back 3,000 years to Zhou Dynasty in China, this moon gazing and lantern parading was celebrated in honour of Chang Er, the beautiful wife of tyrannical ruler and archer Hou Yi. Her boldness in saving the villagers by drinking the elixir of life has made her a legend to be remembered through all generation.


The highlight will be a lantern procession full of colorful lanterns in various shapes and sizes. Tourists should not miss the opportunity to savor a tasty mooncake, which are baked specially for this occasion.

After a month of fasting from dawn to dusk, Hari Raya Eid-ul-Fitr signifies victory for Muslims everywhere. On this special day, Muslims attend the Raya prayer in mosques in morning and after that will visit the cemeteries of loved ones. Wearing traditional finery, friends and family come together to celebrate this joyous occasion. There will also be a wide array of tasty delicacies for all to try.

Malaysia Open, Kuala Lumpur - ATP World Tour 2010





The second Malaysian Open, Kuala Lumpur is an official ATP World Tour 250 tournament. Plus, one of only 5 in Asia. 


With a total prize money of USD $947,750, nine of the current ATP World Tour tennis stars have confirmed their participation in this year's prestigious event.


Last year ATP World Tour Supervisor, Tom Barnes, stated in the Malaysia Open Website, "The place is beautiful, location is great, high quality services, and most importantly the people and staff are super nice." 


He added, "Excellent court. Very professional and attractive color scheme of banners and court color. Excellent surface - one of the best as it is fair to any style of player."
